Well here you go, this is an arm shot I took with my phone camera (takes damn good pics) - and Jacinta texted me to take pics otherwise I wouldn't have thought of it. Couple of things, you will notice the temporary pin sticking out, its on the right side in the first two picks.
Notice the road rash that came from rubbing the liner inside the leathers. The leathers held up great, but of course the gloves gave way at the bottom of
the hand so you can see the palm is still healing. The road rash is all dried up and just needs some much needed air.
Here are two pics of the pin (which will pulled out - another OUCH situation later)
Frankenstein big time, but now the staples are out - thank God!
Here's the money shot!
So I got the news today that the arm is healing up beautifully. The dr was really impressed that all the swelling was gone and that my hand strength is good as it is. He was impressed with his own work and that's always good to see when any professional recognizes when a job is done well. He said that there was a lot of trauma and he had to remove that a lot of little bone particles. He said based on how it looks, and if the healing keeps going the way it is, I shouldn't have any problems with the wrist in the future. He put on a cast today and will have it removed finally on Jan 4th. So on Jan 4th my arm is free. I am not looking forward to the pin removal, but oh well. He had to put in a T plate, with a total of 9 screws. Damn!
