Just a short post of our race weekend. Josh (BearKat) and I traveled to Vegas for the WERA races this last weekend. Was Josh's first ever race weekend and he was riding well. Both of us entered into 2 Sunday races though in different classes. Friday practice was hot (around 100+ degrees) and we spent all day learning the track. Best time for Josh was 1:32's while I did manage to drop into the 1:29's. Saturday was a day off as the endurance teams were running a 6 hour race in 102+ degree weather. Sunday ended up being around 111 degrees and man did it feel it. I ran the second race (SuperStock A) and ended up 6th with a fastest time of 1:28's. Josh ran the 5th and 10th races and got down to the 1:30's in both Superstock C and Superbike C. Final race of the day was the Superbike A and ended up finishing 5th. One more lap and I think I coulda taken 4th but it was really hot and I'm old. I don't know where Josh placed in his races (I think around 13th/14th??) but he was in the thick of it in both races.
